6 Creative Gymnastics Marketing Ideas to Use This Fall

Every season has its own marketing strategy, and it is important to keep up with the season’s trends. Fall is a time for change and so should your marketing,  especially with the holiday season quickly approaching. Optimize your campaigns this fall by creating fresh content and discounts to help retain and attract new club members with these creative gymnastics marketing ideas.

1. Refresh your Branded Materials with Fall-ified Design Elements:

An easy way to give your brand a refreshed look is to reflect upon seasonal change. Simple things you can do could include updating:

  • Your website’s home page, logo, and banner images with more oranges, yellows, and red color palettes
  • Getting creative with fall-related messaging through all marketing channels
  • Using descriptive fall adjectives like “cozy, thankful, harvest, abundance, etc..”
  • Incorporating fall-themed items like pumpkins, leaves, or turkeys

All of these fall-related branding strategies will show your gymnastics club members that you’re in tune with the change of seasons and attentive to what’s happening in their lives, too.

2. Themed Gymnastics Facility:

Fall theming should be evident beyond just your digital marketing platforms. A great way to keep your club’s brand fun and inviting is by decorating the facility itself. Invest in some seasonal decorations for your gymnastics club.

Hang them up in bathrooms and entryways. Using props throughout the facility and throughout classes is a fun way to get interactive with your gymnasts. The great thing about seasonal purchases is that the decorations can still be used next fall!

For the month of October, consider the fact that it’s Breast Cancer Awareness month. Honor the month by using the iconic pink ribbons or the color pink throughout the month through employee uniforms and other pink decor.

Later in that month, consider switching to Halloween decorations by incorporating fun things like jack-o-lanterns, playful or spooky ghosts, bats, or other monsters.

Once November rolls around, prepare for Thanksgiving with decor including leaves, cornucopias, turkeys, and other forest animals to celebrate this holiday.

3. Fall Related Content:

Have your calendar ready, as there are plenty of other opportunities throughout the fall season to include in your gymnastics marketing strategy. Consider these fall dates when crafting content for social media or for adding an additional promotion to your sales budget:

  • October 6- National Coaches Day
  • October 10 – World Mental Health Day
  • October 16- National Sports Day
  • October 31 – Halloween
  • November 11- Veteran’s Day
  • November 24 – Thanksgiving
  • November 25 – Black Friday
  • November 28- Cyber Monday

Get creative with these special days, think about how you can offer opportunities for costumes for your gymnasts, create blog topics for your website, or promotional ideas.

4. Utilize Contests & Giveaways for Brand Exposure

Social media campaigns are a great way to engage your online users to do something like “follow, repost, and tag a friend” for a chance to win something. Take some time to draft what a contest or giveaway might look like for your gymnastics club. You could offer things like a free gymnastics membership, a gift card special for gymnasts, a branded swag bag, or even free classes.

For more interactive contests, ask your followers to submit themed Halloween or Thanksgiving selfies. Or, they could submit a video of a special performance in your classes.

These kinds of brand engagements go a long way in furthering the positive reputation of your gymnastics community through your social channels.

5. Consider Your Seasonal Classes:

If you don’t already include seasonal classes, now is a great time to start creating something you only offer during the fall.  By creating fun and unique initiatives, you can attract new types of customers that may not have been interested in gymnastics before or consider hosting large group events at your facility.

For instance, your classes close to Halloween could be costume-themed. Around Veteran’s Day in November, you could offer a special “Boot Camp Training.” You could even focus on a special flexibility training class when Daylight Savings requires us to be flexible with the time change or teach members how they can prepare for injury recovery.

6. Charity Initiatives:

As fall moves through some socially conscious holidays, it’s important to honor them. For example, you can promote on your marketing platforms that classes around Veteran’s Day or Breast Cancer Awareness Month will allow some of the proceeds to be donated to a charity supporting the cause like the Wounded Warrior Project or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

To promote community within your gymnastics club, involve members by organizing a healthy recipe exchange to promote nutrition, and organizing fundraisers to sell for a charity of your choice. Remember, a great gymnastics marketing strategy emphasizes the value of community.

If you can incorporate one or two of these gymnastics marketing ideas into your plan for the fall, then you will easily boost your exposure for selling classes and/or camps.
